It Will Never Lose Its Power

It Will Never Lose Its Power

It is finished! Jesus Christ spoke these words to seal for all eternity his accomplishment at the cross.

The Cross Blog

The power of his blood at Calvary, one drop of his blood was sufficient to set us free, Heaven was moved, earth was violently shaken, the veil in the temple was torn, and the sins of humanity were nailed to the cross. One can only imagine the pain His mother Mary felt during that moment in time. Her heart shattered when she saw her son’s blood run down his battered body, and heard Jesus final words spoken, “It is finished”.

according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.-Hebrews 9:22

We can understand why his blood was needed to cleanse us.

In the Old Testament times animal sacrifice was practiced, and the priest stood in the gap between God and man. The high priest would go in the most holy place, but only once a year on the Day of Atonement. This was strictly observed and no one was permitted to enter the most Holy place any other day.
After shedding His blood, Christ rose from the grave and proclaimed victory over sin and death. Praise God we have been redeemed by his blood, which was the only acceptable price allowed in heaven to purchase a sinful and hopeless humanity. The greatest symbol of life is blood, because it keeps us alive.
When we comprehend what Jesus accomplished at Calvary, it becomes so easy to praise Him from our innermost being. It was love that kept Him nailed to the cross for you and me.

Ask the Holy Spirit to make Jesus so real to you, that you will feel the father’s love fill every fibre of your heart. I pray that you will understand the depth of the father’s love for you, a love so deep that He gave up His only Son to die for you and me.
Whenever the enemy makes you feel unloved and rejected, remember what Jesus did for you.
