As a fairly new Christian, I found the freedom in Christ course a really helpful tool in getting the foundation principles of my faith. Who God is and what he wants for me. But within the course I also learnt how my habits and lifestyle before I found God had caused so much damage in my life without me even being aware. The course provided me with the steps I needed to recognise where I had gone wrong, understand why and how I could allow God to guide me back into the purpose and plans He has for me. Through it all I discovered how God truly is all we need; that His love for us overcomes all our pain. The word says he came to give us life and life abundantly, it was time for me to claim that and freedom in Christ guided me into that fullness – Georgina Coles
Freedom in Christ course was God’s gift to me, because he used it to refresh my heart and realign me to His purposes for my life. I got a deeper understanding of the life that Jesus had won for me at the cross and the new nature (saint) that God gave me when I first believed, according to 2 Corinthians 5 vs 17. This revelation tore down the lie I had believed and used to identify myself by as a sinner saved by grace. I came to understand that when I first believed and gave my heart to Jesus my nature had changed from a sinner to a saint. God sees me now as a saint and not a sinner and I needed to see myself as he sees me and live from that perspective. God used that truth to break patterns of wrong thinking and found freedom from things that had held me back for years as a result of wrong believing.
I now know I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me and now live life from my new identity as a saint –Joseph Kiarie
