As a church, we are calling for a week of prayers to start the year. We will be praying and fasting through the day and meeting corporately to pray. See the outline below.
Monday, 13th January 2025
Prayers for ministries and church leaders.
James 1:27. Psalms 41:1. Psalms 133:1-3. Isaiah 40:28-29
- Pray that we will have the Spirit of care for the weak, vulnerable, and the fatherless.
- Pray for the churches and pastors around the world where CLC is involved or have relationships.
- Pray for the churches in our city.
- Pray for pastors and leaders in our city.
Tuesday, 14th January 2025
Prayers for CLC church ministries.
Acts 6:1-7. 1 Chronicles 28:21. Psalms 110:3. Joel 2:28
- Prayer for all the different ministries in the church.
- Pray for our church members, workers and leaders and Pastors
- Pray for our children for provision and protection.
- Pray for our young people that they will overcome the challenges they are facing.
- Pray for labourers, members who are willing to help build the church.
Wednesday 15th January 2025
Prayer that we will develop a heart for the lost.
Acts 919-23. Acts 13:24. Ephesians 5:12. Isaiah 41:10
- Pray that we will develop a heart for the lost
- Pray that in our places of work and families, we will show compassion for those who are hurting and lost without Christ.
- Pray that we live a life that is an example to those seeking hope.
- Pray for the spirit of evangelism and grace to share the gospel.
Thursday 16th January 2025
Developing a life of Personal Holiness.
1 Thessalonians 5:15-16. Acts 6:8-14. John 16:13-17. 1 Peter 3:10-12
- Pray that every member will experience a personal revelation of God’s saving grace.
- Pray that we live a life which demonstrate true holiness and empowerment.
- Pray for a life of authenticity and transparency.
- Pray for a life of truthfulness and honesty. That we will not exaggerate or spread unnecessary information.
- Pray that the love of God will permeate every heart.
Friday 17th January 2025
Developing Healthy Relational Life.
Philippians 4:2-3; Isaiah 41:10; 1 Chronicles 28:20. Ephesians 5:21-33.
- Pray to live godly lives in our homes and to be an example among family members.
- Pray that singles (especially sisters) will develop godly Christian fellowship.
- Pray for marriages and peace in our homes. That wives will submit to their husbands. Pray for husbands to love their wives and show spiritual strength and leadership.
- Pray for boldness to trust God’s word, and to reject ever situation that contradicts God’s purpose for our life.
Saturday 18th January 2025
Developing a life of Holiness in the Church.
Philippians 2:3-8. Colossians 3:12-15. 2 Corinthians 7:1; 8-10. John 17:20-21.
- Pray that we will lead a life of unity in Christ.
- Pray that we will make godly decisions in conducting ourselves in different spheres of our relationships.
- Pray that we will break from ungodly attitudes and ungodly conversations.
- Pray that we will develop godly lives and godly conversations.
- Pray that we will seek repentance and forgiveness when we sin.
- Pray for humility in the faith and reject rivalries, for church positions and recognition.
